Cut (01 - Soldiers of Misfortune)
Real Name: Unrevealed
Search for 'Cut (01 - Soldiers of Misfortune)' on Amazon

Powers:
Unknown at this time. Cut is known to use many different blades to attack his victims with. He has been seen carrying up to six different swords at one time. He also has razor sharp talons for fingers on one of his hands.

Weaknesses:
Cut's body is operated through a neurochip implanted by The Undertow (a terrorist organization that employes The Soldier's of Misfortune of which Cut is a part of), which stops Cut from having his own freewill, basically being brainwashed by The Undertow. This chip sends off a beacon which allows The Undertow to transport Cut to and from their headquarters at any given time.

Bio:
Cut is a mind-controlled super-human who has been brainwashed and had a neurochip implanted in his body by the terrorist organization known as The Undertow. Under the terrorist organization The Undertow, Cut serves on their team Soldiers of Misfortune, alongside other brainwashed super-humans.

Almost nothing is known about Cut before he fought The New Warriors and Air Force as part of The Soldiers of Misfortune.

During a relief mission in Africa to help out refugee camps, the super-villain group known as Air Force (who had partly been blackmailed and partly had a change of heart to end up in Africa) was attacked by The Soldiers of Misfortune under the direction of the terrorist organization The Undertow. During this battle, two of Air Force's members (Tanager and Oriole) were brutally slaughtered by The Soldiers of Misfortune.

The New Warriors soon saw the events unfolding in Africa regarding Air Force and went to Africa to investigate. Unprepared for a battle against The Soldiers of Misfortune, four members of the team, Firestar, Justice, Speedball and Kymaera were captured. Cut delivered the final blows to Kymaera to render her unconscious and allow her to be abducted.

Nova, being the only member to escape abduction, called in reinforcements in Turbo and Powerpax. Homing in on a transmission from The Undertow, the three Warriors and Cardinal of Air Force tracked down the missing Warriors in a submarine.

The Warriors attacked the unprepared Soldiers of Misfortune, and Cut as well as his teammates were quickly defeated by Turbo and Powerpax before being teleported away by the leader of The Undertow, Protocol.

Cut was later seen in another battle between The New Warriors and The Soldiers of Misfortune as the Warriors were trying to track down their missing teammate, Kymaera.

Cut's neurochip was damaged in the fight by a kick to the head from The Scarlet Spider. When the rest of The Soliders of Misfotune were transported away, Cut remained behind. He was later released to local authorities by Justice. From there, he was re-located to Manhattan Hospital in their High-Security wing where numerous test were conducted on him.

The Mad Thinker, always having an interest in The New Warriors, kidnapped Cut from the hospital, and after performing his own tests, found information that would aid The New Warriors in their search for their missing teammate. He sent this information anonymously to Night Thrasher and Rage who were at the time separated from The Warriors.

It was this information extracted from Cut by The Mad Thinker that allowed Night Thasher and Rage to attack The Undertow's submarine where Kymaera was being held, and rescue her from their control.
