Blackwing (02 - Heavy Mettle) Real Name: Unrevealed Search for 'Blackwing (02 - Heavy Mettle)' on eBay Powers: None. Blackwing relies solely on her armor which gives her the ability to fly. Bio: Blackwing was hired by Joe Manfredi (formerly Blackwing I, the son of Silvermane) as part of the super-villain group Heavy Mettle to take down The New Warriors and obtain Turbo's armor. After setting up an ambush, Heavy Mettle and The New Warriors fought. Blackwing and the rest of Heavy Mettle were able to escape. After Firestrike turned against the team because of his feelings for Turbo, Nova infiltrated Heavy Mettle posing as Firestrike, and The New Warriors were able defeat Heavy Mettle, sending them all to prison.
