Powers: Barnabas possesses all of the traditional powers of a vampire. This includes consuming blood for survival, hypnotism, enhanced strength and reflexes and immortality.
Weaknesses: Barnabas must sleep in a coffin during the daylight hours. Sunlight will destroy him, and crosses will drive him away.
Bio: Barnabas Collins was an 18th century gentleman who shared a brief romance with a witch named Angelique. When Barnabas turned away from Angelique's affections, she placed a curse upon him, transforming him into a vampire. 175 years later, Barnabas returned to his family estate under the guise of his own descendent.
Notes: Barnabas Collins is based upon the role originally played by Jonathan Frid on the 1966 ABC television series, Dark Shadows. Actor Ben Cross played the part of Barnabas in the 1991 Dark Shadows revival series. Cross's version of Barnabas Collins was featured in the three Dark Shadows limited series published by Innovation Comics.
