Bio: The son of Dan Reid, Jr. and Margaret (Sanford) Reid, Britt Reid went to work as a crime reporter for the Daily Sentinel newspaper in 1934. In 1935, he traveled to Japan, where he saved the life of Ikano Kato. Kato then returned with Britt to the States.
In 1936, inspired by his father's stories of his adventures riding with the Lone Ranger, Britt's grand-uncle, and outraged at the crime he saw running rampant in the city, Britt adopted the guise of the Green Hornet.
In 1945, the Green Hornet went into semi-retirement, only working on a few highly important cases until 1966, when his nephew, Britt Reid II, took up the mantle. Britt Reid I was killed in 1989.
Notes: He's the uncle of Britt Reid II (Green Hornet II) and the grandfather of Alan Reid (Green Hornet III) & Paul Reid (Green Hornet IV)!
