Sam (of Stapleford House) Real Name: Search for 'Sam (of Stapleford House)' on eBay Bio: Sam was the reliable manservant/laboratory assistant of Sir Adrian Stapleford, a nineteenth century inventor attempting to build a submarine for use against the Napoleonic Navy. Like his master, Stapleford, he believed the Doctor and Sarah were innocent of espionage charges laid at their feet by the British naval officers overseeing Stapleford's work. Notes: Sam is notable for being one of a handful of characters who have seen the TARDIS interior, but not taken a trip in it, nor become a companion.
