Daemons (various)
Real Name:
Search for 'Daemons (various)' on Amazon

Bio:
A Doctor Who race whose members appear to be the iconic image of Satan (all horns, hooves and tail). In fact, though, they are simply aliens from the planet Daemos who came to Earth early in human history. As they possessed technology sufficient to interstellar travel at the time of prehistoric man, they therefore became regarded as demi-gods in several human mythologies.

Notes:
The first appearance of the comic Daemons is a little tricky. Aliens that look like the classic image of Satan (horns, hooves and a tail) are a somewhat recurring motif in Doctor Who fiction. A notable early example is in the 1974 Annual. The aliens depicted there are so close to being actual Daemons that one can practically taste it. However, the first appearance of proper "Daemons from the planet Daemos" is the one listed below.
