Sontaran ambassador to the trade talks on the planet Desrault. He got effectively cut out of the talks over the uranium mining rights on the planet, largely because the Black Sun and Gallifreyan delegates fell in love with each other and presented a powerful joint bid. Consequently, he used his psy-snare to mindwipe and control one of the Gallifreyans, whom he sends to kill a Black Sun elder. She succeeds in these instructions, but then is killed herself by fellow Gallifreyan parahuman, Wardog.

Wardog then traces the psy-snare back to Brilox, and uses it on him, leaving the Sontaran without any of his mental faculties.

Brilox would appear to be the cause of the First Great Time War. However, the real question is to what extent Wardog's actions in response to Brilox avert the Time War. The story isn't explicit as to whether Wardog's quick response to Brilox' plot sufficiently changes events to avert war, but it is presumed that he does.
