Bio: Woodstock was an orphaned bird, left to hatch in a nest built on Snoopy's stomach. Snoopy, long a friend of birds, got a bit tired of being the de facto parent of the two, and flung them off his belly into the wild. However, one of the two came back to the only home it had ever known. And from that time, the team of "Snoopy and Woodstock" were born.Woodstock became the all-around dogsbody to Snoopy. Part-secretary, part-caddy, part-genial co-host, Woodstock is versatile and possessed of an unusually high IQ . If Woodstock lacks anything, it is an ability to fly with accuracy. He also can't fly very high off the ground. He doesn't really treat Snoopy like a foster parent, however, so much as a sometimes beloved, sometimes stupid older brother. Woodstock is cognizant of the fact that his real parents are elsewhere, to the extent that his life-long ambition is to find his mother so he can give her a Mother's Day card. Others of his species have occasionally appeared in the strip, typically involved in "Beagle Scout" expeditions with Snoopy as their troop leader, or as an organized American football team.
