X-O Manowar (Valiant) (01 - Aric Dacia) Real Name: Aric Dacia Search for 'X-O Manowar (Valiant) (01 - Aric Dacia)' on eBay Bio: Aric of Dacia was a Fifth Century Visigoth captured by the brutal Spider Aliens and held in suspended animation for 1600 years. When Aric was able to free himself from the Spider Aliens' control, he followed a map to the location of Shanhara, the X-O Manowar Armor. Using this armor, Aric was able to free himself. Upon his freedom, Aric was able to extract revenge upon the Spider Aliens by taking over their cover company on Earth, ORB Industries. Using ORB's resources, Aric managed to gain great wealth and influence. Eventually, Shanhara would be destroyed and replaced by Pol-Bekhara, and Aric would lose control of ORB Industries. Following the tragic confrontation with Paul Bouvier's soul which had gained partial control of Pol-Bekhara, Aric lost his direction and drifted across the Earth and througout space. Near the end of the 21st Century, Aric lost his life in a battle with Toyo Harada, in which Aric was also able to destroy Toyo Harada's body. Before his death, Aric ordered Pol-Bekhara to banish itself to deep space so that its powers could not be taken advantage of. Notes: Two distinct armors were used by Aric during the run of X-O Manowar. The first armor, known as Shanhara, was used from issue #1 through #28 (including issue #0). The second armor, known as Pol-Bekhara, was used from issue #30 through the end of the series (including issue #1/2). Please see the character entries for X-O Manowar Armor I and II for more information regaring Shanhara and Pol-Bekhara.
