Bio:
When the international law enforcement agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. was disbanded, ten former agents banded together as the Harriers and began operating as mercenaries. The Harriers are trained and equipped to battle both conventional and superhuman opponents, and most often engage in commando-style operations.

Battleaxe first encountered the feral mutant named Wolverine after the Harriers' leader, Hardcase, took on an assignment for the D.E.A. to infiltrate the organization of crimelord General Nguyen Ngoc Coy in attempt to destroy Coy's opium crops in the Indochinese "Golden Triangle".

Later, the Harriers were hired by Wolverine to test the skills of Psylocke and Jubilee.
