Search for 'Tholme' on Amazon

Specializes in using the Force for healing, yet he's one of the few Jedi that is both a Jedi Healer and Jedi Watchman.

Tholme has unusually had two distinct "paths" as a Jedi Master. In his early career he was a Jedi Watchman for the sector containing the planets Kiffex and Kiffu. On Kiffu, he discovered that the ward of the planet's leader, Kulrin Vos, was exceptionally strong in the Force. He offered to take the child back to Coruscant for proper training, and the elder Vos agreed--but not before trying to exploit Quinlan's mind for help in revealing the murderer of Quinlan's parents (who were her relatives).

This left Quinlan nearly insane, and prompted Tholme to excuse himself from his duties as Watchman and focus on finding a way to repair the child's mind. In the process, he decided to devote himself to the path of the Jedi Healer, which he continued to be until his probable death in the events of the Clone Wars.

His training of Vos was not continuous. The degree to which he was the formal "master" of the "padawan" Vos is somewhat ambiguous, as Vos has been shown to have memories of both Tholme and Qui-Gon Jinn as his "master". What is more certain, however, is the fact that Tholme was Vos' final master when Vos was elevated to the rank of "Jedi Knight".
