Powers: Very similar to the Prowler's (aka Hobie Brown), as Eric Cross unwittingly duplicated the Prowler's weapons when he found plans for them on the company computer where Hobie Brown worked. He made them even more lethal, especially his gauntlets, that he covered with spikes. His powers were very limited; gliding, short bursts of speed from his jet boots (but not actual powered flight), gauntlets capable of firing fletchette darts at lethal speeds, which he used to kill many street punks.
Weaknesses: Has a fatalistic attitude that puts innocents in danger, and an arrogance that made him easy prey to the Vulture, who simply sliced his gliding cape from above in a sneak attack and sent him plummeting to his near-death.
Bio: Eric Cross was an everyday guy who saw his kid gunned down by drug pushers in a drive-by shooting; he went insane and vowed to kill as many lowlifes as possible, calling himself a vigilante.
Notes: Nightcreeper is possibly the most esoteric "villain" or character ever created by Marvel, as he is based on another esoteric character! He is only seen or referred to in Prowler's brief miniseries, where he is almost killed and turned over to the police, where he is probably on death row for his many murders of low-level thugs and drug pushers.
Kind of a sad character, by any standards...
