Nicholas "Nick" Trask

Search for 'Nicholas "Nick" Trask' on Amazon

Bio:
Nich Trask was a criminal mastermind who owned and operated many legal, and illegal business. In a fit of rage, he killed his bodyguard, and framed a man named Lou Monkton, a small-time hood and rival, for the murder.

Defending Monkton against the charges was Criminal Defense Attorney Jennifer Walters. Jennifer Walters and Trask had been indirectly linked for quite some time. It was revealed that Trask had put a hit out on Jennifer's father, Sheriff Morris Walters who was investigating some of Trask's illegal businesses, but the hit went wrong, and She-Hulk's mother was instead killed.

Coming up against a wall in her defense of Monkton, Jennifer put a rumour out that she had proof that Trask was behind the murder. She believed that the rumour would shake him up and maybe give her a break in the case. Upon hearing of the rumour, Trask sent three of his men to kill Jennifer.

Jennifer was driving home after being visited by her cousin, Bruce Banner (The Hulk) who had come to see her to reveal his secret and ask for her help. The two were getting out of the car at Jennifer's home when she was shot in the back by Trask's hitmen. Bruce was able to fend the men off for long enough to get Jennifer inside. The hitmen left in a hurry, having made too much noise.

Realizing that Jennifer was losing too much blood, Bruce found a doctor's shingle next door to Jennifer's and broke in. It was here he gave her a blood transfusion, which saved her life. Bruce then called the police, and Jennifer was taken to the hospital, while Bruce was taken into custody to be questioned. Fearing he would transform into The Hulk under the stress of interrogation, he transformed into The Hulk and broke through the wall. He read in the newspapers the next day that Jennifer would be okay, and knowing he was once again a wanted man, he left the city.

Jennifer was recuperating in the hospital when Trask sent his hitmen back to finish the job. They attacked Jennifer in her hospital room, causing her, for the first time, to transform into The Savage She-Hulk. The She-Hulk was easily able to fend off the hitmen, and chased them down until the police were able to take them into custody. During this time, she forced a confession from the hitmen that Trask had murdered his bodyguard.

The arguement however, was thrown out in court as the men were under diress at the time.

Trask ordered another hit on Jennifer after she confronted him at one of his warehouses. The hit once again went wrong, this time causing the death of Jennifer's best friend Jill. Driven into hiding after being blamed for the death of Jill, She-Hulk came up against a Robot of Trask's, designed to look like The She-Hulk from stolen Stark Technology parts, to complete hits for Trask. She was able to destory the robot.

Trask then abducted Jennifer's father, and gave him part of the stolen Stark Technology to kill She-Hulk. He had rigged the device to explode while Sheriff Walters was still holding it, planning to kill them both. She-Hulk was able to spot the flaw in the device, and saved them both.

Trask them built a massive earth-boring device called the Silver Serpent using the Stark Technology, and drained Roxxon Oil dry of it's reserves in an attempt to take over the company. Jennifer investigated this, and discovered the Serpent as She-Hulk.

During a battle with Trask at the helm of the Silver Serpent, She-Hulk damaged the Silver Serpent's control systems and the Serpent was sent on an uncontrollable course deep into the Earth's core.

This was the last time Trask was seen. What became of him is still unknown.

Notes:
In the earliest stories of The Savage She-Hulk, Trask was blamed for the murder of She-Hulk's mother after a hit placed on her father, Sheriff Walters, went wrong. During The Sensational She-Hulk series, her mother's death was blamed on the actions of a drunk driver.
