Bart Maverick

Search for 'Bart Maverick' on Amazon

Bio:
Bart Maverick was a late 19th century rogue who lived in the American West. He had a penchant for gambling and confidence tricks. He also had no fewer than three other relatives, who also had a name beginning with "B".

Notes:
Bart was originally the sort of "junior" brother to Bret on the television series, Maverick. He was mainly created to give a way for the show to meet its hectic production schedule. His presence allowed the series to film with two units, one focussed on Bret's scenes in a story and the other on Bart's. Thus, a single episode could be filmed in half the time.

As the series progressed and new brothers replaced Brett, Bart's standing increased. By the final episode, Bart was very much the "senior" brother.
