Purgatory
Real Name: Paul Christian
Search for 'Purgatory' on Amazon

Powers:
Purgatory originally had a small degree of green lantern energy in his body. That energy was increased exponentially by Neron.

Bio:
After being paralyzed in a subway accident, Paul Christian eventually was caught in the crossfire of a Green Lantern battle. When his wheelchair was knocked over, Kyle Rayner attempted to make amends by lending him some of the power from his ring to fix his legs. As long as Christian kept his concentration, he could walk as normal. However, while walking the stairs to the top of the statue of liberty, Christian cut his hand on the railing, causing him to lose concentration and topple down the stairs.

While in the hospital, Christian was met by Neron, who augmented the power that still was within his body. Using this new power, he began calling himself Purgatory and set off to take his revenge to Green Lantern. After a fight involving Mr. Freeze, Purgatory escaped until he found Lantern again. Kyle overwhelmed him with additional power, transforming Purgatory into Paul Christian once again.

However, Neron claimed Christian's soul as his own regardless and he became part of Neron's army in Underworld Unleashed.
