Kamandi
Real Name:

Bio:
None entered.

Notes:
This Jack Kirby character was billed, in his self-titled series, as "the last boy on Earth".

But this reference was probably more about the way Kamandi felt, than an actual fact. His grandfather, and ostensibly only living relative, died in the opening issue, leaving him alone in a post-apocalyptic world.

This grandfather was, in fact, the elderly OMAC. The apocalypse he and his grandson had faced was called, "The Great Disaster", a nuclear holocaust that allegedly occurred in 1986. And the titular "Earth" was neither Earth-1 or Earth-2, but some other world where animals had evolved into sentient, menacing life-forms. In fact, he is a counterpart to Earth-1's Jed Walker, as the Sandman learned in Cancelled Comic Cavalcade #2.

However, the Crisis on Infinite Earths intervened before 1986 actually arrived, so Crisis effectively wiped Kamandi from continuity. On the now-combined Earth, the boy who would have grown up to be Kamandi became the post-Crisis Tommy Tomorrow. Created by Jack Kirby
