"Smiling" Simon Edwards

Bio:
Edwards met a woman, down on her luck, on a street corner, Dahlia, who told him the story of her life. How she was a singer whose father never supported her, whose singing instructors at The Academy of Music (which her mother saved to send her to) tried to ruin her voice, whose former band mates ousted her from the band because they were jealous. Feeling sorry for Dahlia, Edwards, the owner of a nightclub, offered to let Dahlia sing in his club, without actually hearing her voice. He also agreed to help her sue Dr. Daniel Ridge Sr. (the father of Daniel "Zapper" Ridge, at the time, the boyfriend of She-Hulk), the doctor who had diagnosed her with diabetes, and whose orders to take care of her health, she had disregarded.

After actually hearing her sing, Edwards pulled Dahlia from the stage and told her to let the band play alone. Dahlia, enraged, accused Edwards of simply using her.

Dahlia later tried to commit suicide after Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk), the defense attorney on the malpractice suit against Dr. Daniel Ridge Sr. convinced her to look at the truth in her life. She-Hulk was able to get Dahlia to a hospital just in time to save her life.
