Search for 'Colossus (Marvel)(01 - Super-Computer)' on Amazon

Powers:
The Colossus' robot body possessed superhuman strength and durability. The Colossus was programmed for limited independent thought, and had a powerful mind for calculations, enabling it to predict and solve many of humankind's problems.

Bio:
After fifteen years of work, Professor Renolds completed his super-computer in the year 2020 AD. Its analytical powers enabled it to solve most of Earth's problems, calculating the probability of warfare, determining which countries would need assistance, and carefully managing the Earth's resources.

An impressed world government appointed the computer as governing ruler of Earth, leading to many years of peace and prosperity, though some people feared the computer might turn against them. Gradually deteriorating with age and realizing it would decline beyond repair in the near future, the computer decided to replace its central unit. Believing a humanoid form might win humanity's trust, the computer built itself a huge new robot body that would service humanity for years to come; however, the robot's activation panicked the populace, who assumed this "Colossus" was dangerous. Renolds built an electromagnetic interceptor that redirected the robot into the ocean, short-circuiting it. Before an angry mob could wreck the original computer, Renolds questioned it and the computer explained it's actions. Programmed to serve, it was incapable of betrayal - but humanity had betrayed itself.
