Bio: The Lady Irna was the near-human royal princess of the Caynon. Through her marriage to Mackal, she united the space-faring Caynon with the warrior race known as the Yl-Caan. The resulting union was, predictably, a savage kingdom determined to conquer, rather than merely explore, strange new worlds. However, during one of their many raids, Irna was struck down with a biological weapon. The Caynon blamed the Yl-Caan for putting their princess into such jeopardy in the first place. Unless and until the princess were restored to health, the alliance was dissolved. The solution came in the form of a specific planet, whose atmosphere would support Irna in her delicate condition. However, this hope proved somewhat illusory, as the planet merely allowed the biological agent inside Irna to mutate her own cells. Irna was permanently turned into a wolf. Most of the Yl Caan party assigned to her safety believed that a wolf had in fact killed Irna, but the chief medical officer, Lupe, secretly knew the truth. He had hidden the truth, because only in hiding it could he and Irna be together. If her death were confirmed, then she would effectively be released from marriage. In the end, Lupe got his way. The treaty between Caynon and Yl Caan dissolved with Irna's apparent death. And Lupe found a way, with the Sixth Doctor's help, to transform himself into a wolf. The two lived together on the backwater planet long after the Yl Caan and Caynon left.
