Bio: Steve Dayton was a wealthy man who wanted to win the heart of Rita Farr, the Elasti-Girl, but was convinced she would be interested in him only if he had super-powers, so he paid for the development of a helmet that would give him psionic abilities. The helmet is custom-made for him and only he can use it. Although Farr voted to keep him out of the Doom Patrol, they eventually got married and adopted a son, Gar Logan, originally known as Beast-Boy and later as Changeling. After Farr's death, Dayton retired his Mento identity, and by the time of the Crisis on Infinite Earths, was hanging out with John Constantine.
