Ezra Paulsen Search for 'Ezra Paulsen' on eBay Bio: When introduced, Ezra Paulsen was an 86-year-old fisherman and guardian of his grandson, Jed Walker. He was pulled overboard by a sea monster, and in spite of The Sandman's efforts to save him, he drowned, leaving Jed to the custody of an abusive aunt, uncle, and cousins. Ezra Paulsen passed away in The Sandman (vol. 1) #5. He appears in illustrations of Rose Walker's journal in The Sandman (vol. 2) #11.
