Christine Chapel

Search for 'Christine Chapel' on Amazon

Known primarily as "Nurse" Chapel--and hopelessly in love with Mr. Spock--she was only a nurse for the first five year mission. In the gap between the end of the mission and the events of Star Trek I, she had, in fact, become a doctor. Indeed, an often-missed aspect of Star Trek I was that she was Decker's Chief Medical Officer. She quietly stepped aside when Doctor McCoy beamed on board. Later, she became head of Starfleet Medical's Emergency Services division, and directed rescue efforts on Earth during the crisis depicted in Star Trek IV.
