Bio:
Ubiquitous code-name for the current Chief of Service and head of the Secret Intelligence Service (S.I.S. or MI6).

Barclay had distinguished service as CIA-Liaison, Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC), and Head of Station (also called [station name] Number One) Prague ('85-'88), Saigon ('89-'91), and Paris ('91-'94). Promoted to C after Sir Wilson Stanton-Davies retired. Resigned in disgrace after it was revealed that four MANPAD Starstreak missiles had gone missing under his watch as Chairman of the JIC. Replaced by then Deputy Chief of Service, Alison Gordon-Palmer.
