Poizon's powers manifest themselves as an extension of her current emotional state. When she's feeling happy or content, everyone else around her feels likewise. If she's upset or afraid however, she can lash out and turn that emotional energy into magical blasts of power that burn like fire. Over the years, she has managed to gain more control over these powers and manifest them in new ways though magical rituals that allowe her to influence the spirits of other willing beings. In extreme circumstances, she can actually merge the spirits of others with her own, creating singular, ferocious amalgamations that feature the strengths and weaknesses of all involved.
Aside from her magical powers, Annique is a simple human female, and suffers all the weaknesses and drawbacks inherent to being a human.
Unbeknownst to Razor, Annique is actually her granddaughter from further down the timestream, an era where demons freely walk the Earth, hunting and slaying humans for sport.
Annique manifested her powers as a child, and it didn't take long for those who associated with her to realize that whenever she became frightened or angry, bad things started to happen to everyone else around her. The children in her community gave her the nickname of Poizon, because "if you made her angry, she left a bad taste in your mouth."
Poizon travelled back in time from her present to 1996 in an effort to save Razor's life. She failed, but used a potent magic to bring her back to life. This was necessary not only to preserve her own existance but to use Razor's combat prowess to defeat the demon named Anvil, who was terrorizing Queen City and who had resurrected Razor's arch-enemy, Roman VonDrake.
