Mal Donalbain Search for 'Mal Donalbain' on eBay Powers: Mal Donalbain was a world-famous sportsman and entrepreneur. Weaknesses: Mal Donalbain suffered from severe haphephobia, the fear of being touched. Bio: Mal Donalbain provided the funding for Dr. Joanne Tumolo's experiment to allow women to totally fullfil their physical and mental potential. He had an ulterior motive: he was opening a nationwide chain of health clubs and he wanted the machines for them. When the equipment was ready, the doctor planned to have her assistant, Greer Nelson, be the first subject. Donalbain overrode her, insisting that they use Shirlee Bryant as the "first lovely guinea pig." Rather than abandon the experiment, Greer persuaded Dr. Tumolo to test her in secret, parallel with Shirlee. They succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Unfortunately, Donalbain wanted to use the machine for evil. Dressed in cat-like uniforms, his trainees would be his super-powered minions. Using his chain as a front, Donalbain's force would subjugate the entire nation. When Dr. Tumolo discovered his plan, he had her lab dynamited so it would appear she'd died in an accidental explosion. Outraged, Greer set out to avenge her mentor. Rather than let her touch him, Donalbain committed suicide with his pistol Notes: Mal Donalbain had dozens of the Cat uniforms prepared for his female army. However, his headquarters was destroyed by fire. It is unclear how the Brand Corporation in New Jersey obtained the similar Hellcat costume later donned by Patsy Walker.
