Wilson Blunt

Search for 'Wilson Blunt' on Amazon

Bio:
Plumber who finds odd spheres in a field, in reality transmitters of the Nestene consciouness, and gets possessed by them.

Notes:
Blatant speculation: It's interesting that the first Auton victim in the 2005 series episode, "Rose", is also a maintenance man named "Wilson". Given the 2005 production team's deep knowledge of Doctor Who lore, and their references to Abslom Daak, it's not too improbable to suggest that, just possibly, they were making a nod to the comic story in which Wilson Blunt appears. After all, his story, "Business As Usual", is generally considered to be one of the very best non-Doctor Doctor Who stories ever told in comics. It could well have been used by the writer of "Rose" as he researched the Nestene Consciousness.
