Cecilia Reyes (Marvel)

Search for 'Cecilia Reyes (Marvel)' on Amazon

Cecilia can produce a psioplasmic bio-field that usually fits to the contours of her body as a reaction to a physical threat. She has been able to develop her powers into forming shapes with her shield, sparked by her brief drug addiction. Psylocke has tapped into her powers, able to extend the shield's radius, which she has continued to use.

After losing her father during a shooting, Cecilia came into contact with Professor Charles Xavier who wanted to enroll her into the X-Men, having discovered her mutant powers.

However, Cecilia refused to have anything to do with mutants and just wanted to heal people like ordinary doctors, to prevent anything like what happened to her father would ever happen again.

She and Xavier never saw each other again until many years later when Operation: Zero Tolerance first began. She was one of the target mutants on their list and was hunted down at the hospital she worked at.

Iceman helped her out, hading been assigned to help her out by Xavier himself if needed. Together, a reluctant Cecilia, Iceman and Sabra stopped OZT and she even saved the life of another injured X-Man; Cyclops.

After the death of Joseph, Cecilia left the X-Men to become a doctor again and wasn't heard of since.

Some time later, when Weapon X got re-started, Cecilia was again a target mutant and got apprehended by the team in their mutant death camps; Neverland. There, Cecilia operated as a doctor as well to aid the wounded mutants who returned after experiments were performed on them.

Cecilia managed to escape execution in Neverland and sought refuge in New York. There she continued medical practice and assisted the NYX kids. She has also retained her powers after M-Day. She was next seen on Utopia as the resident medical doctor, checking up on Magneto while he brought Kitty Pryde back to Earth. She has since been seen helping out with medical assistance and various other duties with her powers.

Cecilia had stated in X-23 that she was splitting her time with Utopia and New York, as she had to get away from the chaos. This was prior to Regenesis. It is unknown at this time where Cecilia's allegiance lies: with Wolverine in New York (where she already is) or with Cyclops on Utopia.
