Agen Kolar

Search for 'Agen Kolar' on Amazon

Agen Kolar was a Jedi Master and a member of the Zabrak species, born on the planet Iridonia. He fought on Geonosis and survived in the battle's end, though his young Padawan Tan Yuster, did not.

Master Agen Kolar was one of the 12 Jedi on the Jedi Council to decide Anakin Skywalker's ascension to Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars after Masters Ki-Adi-Mundi and Shaak Ti returned from Hypori, where General Grievous made his official introduction.

Kolar, along with fellow Masters Mace Windu, Kit Fisto and Saesee Tiin, battled Darth Sidious and was killed by the Sith Lord. He holds a seat on the Jedi High Council and Mace Windu considers him one of the Order's finest members. Master Kolar has considerable skill and he is a tough combatant, but diplomacy is not his strong suit.

Agen used a green lightsaber then a blue lightsaber. During the film Revenge of the Sith, Agen Kolar is killed when Darth Sidious thrusted his lightsaber through his stomach. He was the first to die. Masters Saesee Tiin and Kit Fisto would soon join him.

Agen Kolar has the dubious distinction of being, technically, the first victim of the Great Jedi Purge.
This character is often confused with Eeth Koth. He was created entirely because the actor who played Eeth Koth in Episode I was unavailable for Episode II. When the replacement actor got out of makeup, however, it was clear that the two looked substantially different. Thus, Agen Kolar was born.
