Dida
Real Name:
Search for 'Dida' on Amazon

Bio:
Dida was a resident of the planet New Okeefenokee. She was the eldest daughter of a family encountered by a newly-arrived Polaris Spanner and Gadgeteer. The family were colonists of the planet who were running into trouble with the natives once they took the decision to leave the planet. Needing help getting to the spaceport, they elect Dida as a guide for Pol and Gadj, who will go into the city and secure a new boat for the family to make the crossing themselves.

Dida is constantly trying to make sure she doesn't run out of her "medicine" during this journey. When she does, she reverts to her true form—and it is revealed that she is in fact a native of the planet, not a human colonist. She had been taken in by the human family as an orphan, and altered to appear human with the assistance of her medicine.
