Bio: After the six children of Cronus and Rhea had overthrown the Titans, the three brothers among them cast lots for the three domains. Poseidon drew the sea, Hades the netherworld of the dead and Zeus the sky. Poseidon is the sea god. According to Plato, his children founded Atlantis, and he was its chief god. Certainly the one remaining city (since the destruction of Tritonis during the Crisis on Infinite Earths) is named for him: Poseidonis.
