Ralph Anderson

Search for 'Ralph Anderson' on Amazon

Bio:
Ralph was a prison guard at the super villain holding facility, Rykers. During his rounds one day, he found The Puppet Master missing from his cell, and (even though he didn't know what to call it at the time) a compaction frame on the floor of the cell.

Not realizing compaction frames were the reason for Earth almost having been squished out of existence after Doctor Angst had set a spell in motion to spew them forth from a black hole months earlier (only stopped by She-Hulk, Howard the Duck and their allies), Anderson took it home.

From this particular compaction frame sprung forth the puppetverse. The Puppet Master had entered the Puppetverse through the compaction frame and finally found a universe that he felt he belonged in. However, with human interference, the universes contained within the compaction frames expand outward, in this case, onto Earth. Good and bad puppets emerged everywhere, setting Anderson's neighbor's home on fire, for which he was arrested.

This brought him into contact with She-Hulk, having hired her in her job as a lawyer. When She-Hulk and her allies Weezi Mason and Phantom Blonde went to investigate, they found the Puppetverse had expanded onto Earth quite sufficiently. Battles were had, She-Hulk was annoyed that she was getting beaten by a big puppet in her own book (in fourth wall breaking fashion) and the Puppet Master was captured, all in time for the cosmic being known as The Critic to come and collect the compaction frame, saving the universe from being squished.
