Bio: Frank Peterson was Juror #5 in the trial of Charles Czarkowski being accused of attempted murder. Czarkowski's lawyers were Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk) and Pug of Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway (GLK&H). A picture had been taken of Czarkowski at the exact moment he shot the man in the back. The photo was so widely circulated and so much biased had been formed against the defendant that no one felt an unbiased jury could be found. Since Czarkowski claimed the man that he shot was from the future and was there to murder him, therefore it was self defense, the trial was being held under the watchful eye of the Time Variance Authority.
Because of this special circumstance, Walters was able to argue that a jury should be made up of people from the past. People that had yet to see the photo or become biased towards her client. The motion was granted and jurors were selected from the past to sit for the trial.
It turns out, all jurors selected were in fact, deceased in the present day (including Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, who was dead at the time) so that they couldn't run into their present selves and cause some sort of time paradox. Frank Peterson died a year ago to the date that he was sitting in the jury box in a burning building as he rushed to save the inhabitants as part of his job as a police officer.
