Progenitor
Real Name: Progenitor
Search for 'Progenitor' on Amazon

Bio:
Progenitor was the very first Celestial to ever land on Earth, approximately four billion years ago according to Loki. Progenitor had been infected by the Horde (a swarm of cosmic locusts if you will) and fell to Earth when it was still a barren lifeless planet. The Celestial ended up on Earth not because of any specific reason, but simply because it was infected and diseased by the Horde. After falling for years through space, it eventually landed on Earth where it's infection from the Horde became too much for it. It vomited and bled and cried radioactive tears onto the Earth's surface before finally perishing.

Again, according to Loki, the sickness that Progenitor had spewed forth onto the Earth, seeped deep into it's very existence and stewed for millions of years, infecting the entire planet, forever altering it's evolutionary trajectory. He claims that from this sickness, from the vomit of a god essentially, was born humanity. That the reason Earth is so remarkable and such a focus for the birth of super powered beings, is one big cosmic accident and the results of a god like being vomiting onto the surface of the Earth until it died.

Whether these claims of Loki are completely accurate or not is unknown.

The corpse of Progenitor laid untouched as it inhabited the bottom of the Arctic Ocean in the North Pole for billions of years. After The Avengers defeated the Dark Celestials (infested by the Horde) who had tried to kill all the remaining Celestials in the universe, the Celestials, as a gift, raised up the body of Progenitor for The Avengers to use as a new base of operations.
