2008-12-10 01:29:37 Merrik Powers The Android Man possessed internal sensors, as well as superhuman strength and durability. It was kept inert when not exposed to room temperature heat. It was programmed for limited independent thought. Possessed internal sensors, as well as superhuman strength and durability.
2008-12-10 01:29:37 Merrik Bio The Android Man was a powerful android built by the Mad Thinker in a Manhattan laboratory as protection against his sometime-ally the Wizard, should the Wizard ever betray him. Both the Thinker and the Wizard were defeated in succession by the Fantastic Four, and were imprisoned. As the police were dismantling the Mad Thinker's laboratory, they accidentally activated the Android Man by exposing it to room temperature. The Android Man honed in on a signal, which it thought would bring it to the Wizard. It actually tracked the Wizard's Wonder Gloves, which were in the possession of Ben Grimm, recently cured of being The Thing. The Android Man attacked Grimm and his girlfriend, Alicia Masters. Unable to hold his own in battle without his powers, Grimm was finally forced to use the Wonder Gloves' energies to transform back into the Thing so he could save Alicia. With a single punch, the Thing wrecked the Android Man, though his dreams of a normal life were ruined as well. The Android Man was subsequently rebuilt by Dr. Doom as the Super-Android, and provided to the Enclave where they invaded the Baxter Building on Doom's behalf. The Android Man fought the entire Fantastic Four, but was destroyed by one of the Invisible Girl's force fields. It's parts were later acquired and reassembled by the mutant Reanimator to serve in his collection of robots. It was possibly wrecked again in battle with Wolverine and the New Warriors. It's status folling the Reanimator's defeat is unrevealed. Built by the Mad-Thinker as protection against his sometime-ally the Wizard, just in case the Wizard ever decided to betray him. Android Man was accidentally activated by police who were searching the Thinker's laboratory after both the Thinker and the Wizard had been defeated. Android Man followed a signal which it believed would lead him to the Wizard, but instead led him to Ben Grimm (who was no longer in his Thing form) who had possession of The Wizard's gloves after his defeat. Grimm was forced to use the Wizard's gloves to revert him to his Thing form to battle Android Man and save Alicia Masters. With a single punch, the Thing destroyed Android Man. Rebuilt in later years by Doctor Doom as the Super-Android, Android Man invaded the Baxter Building on Doom's behalf and fought the Fantastic Four, destroyed in the battle by one of the Invisible Girl's force fields. Later still, Android Man's parts were reassembled by the mutant Reanimator to serve in his collection of Robots. It was possibly destroyed again in a battle against Wolverine and the New Warriors.
