2010-05-30 12:29:49 aaronmoish Alias Nanny (II) Nanny (02)
2010-05-30 12:29:49 aaronmoish Bio The woman now known as the Nanny was once a scientist employed by the Right in the field of cyborg technology. When she learned of the Right's anti-mutant agenda, she tried to stop them. The Right sealed her in one of her cyborg designs, but she escaped. At some later date, she sealed young mutant named Peter in a battle suit and christened him Orphan-Maker. She also obtained high-tech weaponry and a flying craft. She and Orphan-Maker (her sidekick) are a pair of would-be saviors of mutant children, with Nanny as the brains and guiding force and Orphan-Maker as the brawn. Nanny’s believes that parents of mutant children are evil, especially those who abandon their children, so she and Orphan-Maker travel the world, searching for young mutants to take care of, murdering their parents if necessary. These children are called the Lost Boys. Nanny’s first major mission was at the orphanage where Cyclops was raised where Mister Sinister kept many mutant children, including Christopher Summers, the son of Scott Summers and Madelyne Pryor, and Gailyn and Joey Grey, the children of Sara Grey, Jean Grey’s sister. There, Nanny and Orphan-Maker fought Cyclops and Marvel Girl for possession of the children. Christopher Summers was taken by demons in the service of N'astirh, while the Grey children were taken by Nanny. Months later, following Inferno, Nanny tried to capture Christopher Summers (who had been recovered by Cyclops) and several other mutant children who X-Factor had rescued. They were opposed in their efforts by X-Factor, who tracked down the other children that Nanny was holding, including the Greys. Nanny and Orphan-Maker escaped. Later, Nanny and Orphan-Maker attacked the X-Men in Australian in an effort to "save" them. At first, Nanny was succeeded in sealing Psylocke, Dazzler, and Havok in battle suits. But eventually, the tide of battle turned and Nanny and Orphan-Maker fled in their ship. Storm pursued and was caught by the ship's appendages. In a panic, Havok unleashed his plasma blast on the ship, seemingly killed Nanny, Orphan-Maker, and Storm. In reality, Nanny deployed a decoy ship contained a life model decoy to impersonate the corpse of Storm in the wreckage. Nanny then regressed Storm's body to that of a child. Storm eventually escaped. With the aid of Gambit, Storm defeated Nanny and Orphan-Maker sending the cyborg duo and ship crashing into a swamp. Nanny reappeared much later in Generation X #4 trying to protect a deformed child trapped in a schoolhouse by a mob believing him to be a mutant. She revealed that she had previously worked for Mister Sinister and that Orphan-Maker was a mutant so powerful that Sinister deemed him unsuitable to even be one of his Marauders! It was at this point that Peter (Orphan-Maker) began to outgrow his armour as his powers (as yet unrevealed) grew. 2006-09-23 08:56:02 ferroboy Powers She has a type of low-level telepathy/mind control, which she enhances by projecting a chemical "pixie dust" at her victims. By unknown means, Nanny can regress the bodies of adult mutants to those of children. Nanny is encased within a battle suit of her own design an egg-shaped suit of armor that is capable of flight, teleportation, producing a repulsor field, firing rockets and has an in built machine pistol.
