4-LOM

Contribution History:
Date User Field Old Value New Value
2006-02-16 18:40:49 DarthSkeptical Bio Protocol droid--roughly, a cousin to C-3PO--who had faulty programming that allowed him to steal from passengers aboard the luxury liner on which he served. Darth Vader eventually discovered him and enhanced this glitch to the point that he became capable of killing. He was then enlisted in the hunt for Han Solo during Episode V.

He became disenchanted with the Empire after a morally questionable mission which followed Han's carbonite imprisonment. After spending some time close up with some Rebels, he and his more mystical companion, Zuckuss, were eventually drawn into the service of the Alliance.

Ironically, he eventually was a part of the plan to save Han from Jabba the Hutt. They were specifically tasked with stopping Boba Fett from delivering Han to Jabba. When, however, Boba overcame their opposition by virtually destroying 4-LOM. Zuckuss reassembled him, but in the process lost his newfound affinity for the Alliance.

Upon completing the reassembly, Zuckuss and 4-LOM left the Alliance and reverted to their lives as simple, unscrupulous bounty hunters.
