Gamecock (Carlos Cabrera)

Contribution History:
Date User Field Old Value New Value
2008-12-10 03:38:44 Merrik Powers Gamecock wore a rooster-like costume equipped with razor-sharp talons protruding from his ankles and clawed gloves, used effectively in hand-to-hand combat. He possessed phenomenal leg strength and could leap great distances from a standing position.
2008-12-10 03:38:44 Merrik Bio Leader of the two-bit Harlem gang “The Brood,” Gamecock was hired by Harlem crime boss Morgan to kill the Falcon (Sam Wilson), who was hindering Morgan’s criminal enterprises. Gamecock led the Brood to Falcon’s Harlem apartment, finding him absent, but encountering Nomad (Steve Rogers), who was also seeking the Falcon. They battled him on the rooftop of Falcon’s apartment building, until an unidentified assailant fired a bazooka from an adjacent rooftop. Fearing that the police had arrived, Gamecock and his Brood retreated. Gamecock later assaulted a woman in lower Manhattan. Surrounded by police, Gamecock refused to surrender the woman, but was arrested after being struck with a paralyzing energy blast fired by Asp (Cleo Nefertiti). Gamecock also allegedly survived an assassination attempt by the Red Skull (Johann Schmidt)’s Scourge, and was briefly considered for employment by Nightshade (Tilda Johnson) and Erik Kilmonger. Gamecock later traveled to the island nation Madripoor to participate in the Bloodsport, a fighting tournament sponsored by Madripoor’s crimelords, in hopes of being crowned the world’s greatest fighter. In his first round match, Gamecock faced the feral Puma (Thomas Fireheart). Underestimating his opponent, Gamecock was seemingly eaten alive within minutes.
