    Kirk Chritton

Kirk Chritton (1964- ) is an American writer, editor, and publisher. Chritton began his career by creating and publishing fan comics in the 1980's, including Plasma, an anthology title that featured early works of prominent creators, including pre-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles art by Peter Laird.

Chritton also wrote articles for entertainment and comics-related publications including Prevue, Comics Buyer's Guide, and Four Color Weekly.

In 1989, Chritton launched Comics Career Newsletter, a magazine designed to help aspiring comics creators break into the field. He published 28 issues through the early 90's. Comics Career featured how-to tips, industry news, and interviews with creators and editors. The magazine featured articles by well-known creators including Dave Sim, Ande Parks, Paul Kupperberg, Rob Davis, and David Campiti.

For Comics Career, Chritton interviewed many influential comic book creators and editors including DC Comics Executive Editor Dick Giordano, and Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Tom DeFalco. and Dave McKean.

Chritton's comics writing includes nine issues of Now Comics' "Dai Kamikaze!" and four issues of Adventure Comics' "Velvet" which he co-created with Mark Runyan. He also wrote a series of mini-comics included in Sonic Drive-In kids meals.

Chritton has not been active in the comics field since 1994. He is currently the Director of Marketing and Product Development for MCH, Inc., a business-to-business mailing list compiler. He resides in Blue Springs, Missouri, with his wife and children.
