Bio:
Prolific author in the Doctor Who community, he has written for virtually every medium in which the Doctor has appeared. He is also one of the few writers to bridge the gap between the "classic" series and the 2005 revival. Though he never wrote an episode of the classic series, after a string of comic and novelized stories, he got to write "Attack of the Graske", an interactive video adventure featuring the Tenth Doctor, and will be contributing a regular episode to the Tenth Doctor's second season. Most importantly to this database, perhaps, he was one of the two principal writers for the short tenure of the comic Ninth Doctor, writing or co-writing more of the comic Ninth Doctor's appearances than any other individual. He is generally known for adept dialogue. His Ninth Doctor novel, Only Human, has been widely hailed by fans as "nailing" the speech of the three main protagonists in the latter half of the 2005 season. His particular gift of "speech characterization" can be attributed partly to his long experience on soap operas, in which he was heavily involved from about 1997-2003. He wrote or script edited for Coronation Street, Brookside, and Emmerdale. He has also taken a 2005 turn at writing sketch comedy for the show, Swinging.
