Bio:
Gardner Francis Fox was singularly important to DC Comics. As the author of the first stories employing extra-dimensional Earths, he is usually regarded as the creator of the multiverse.

Few writers would have been in as good a position to have done so. As one of the few writers to have been as active in the Golden Age as the Silver, Gardner Fox was there for the formative years of just about every DC super hero. In fact, the original explanation of the intersection between Earth-2 and Earth-1 places Gardner Fox himself in Earth-1. The character of Gardner Fox was a comic book writer whom the young Barry Allen read as a boy. Thus, Gardner Fox (of Earth-1) was able to see Earth-2 in his dreams.

Narrative Style
Gardner Fox is particularly known for a writing style which heavily used narration boxes that spoke, often alliteratively, directly to the reader. The narrator in the 1960s Batman television series, for example, directly evoked Gardner Fox.
