Writer, community organizer, have worked in non profit groups related to children, alternative schools, adult literacy and now child care. My writing has been part of a safety net that has allowed me to do other work. I began with comic fandfom as a teen in the 1960's - co created TriFan fanzine that ran 3 issues and contributed to others including Sanctum and various publications by the Johnson brothers.
Sold some minor things to Cracked magazine circa 1968. Wrote Silver Threads Among the Gold for Creepy- I think it appeared in issue 24 or 26
Wrote or co-plotted portions of Word Warriors and Quest for Dreams Lost - benefit books for Literacy Volunteers of Chicago 1987 featuring Jon Sable, Ms Tree and TeenAge Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Co wrote card sets including GMen and Gangsters 1 and 2, for Eclipse, Chicago Mob Wars for Kitchen Sink and contributed 5 cards to the Pocket Pinups set by Max Allan Collins. Since 1980 Have assisted with historical research on all of Max Allan Collins Historical novels in the Nate Heller, Disaster Mysteries and Road to Perdition Trilogy books.

Wrote portions of Men's Adventure (which won the 2005 Anthony award)and the History of Mystery with Max Allan Collins. -and a portion of the True Detective Book that will be out this year from Taschen.

My writing related to Original Comic Art began with the second issue of CFA APA and comntinues today with monthly modules in the Comic's Buyer's guide and in the Art Yo uCan Read section and forum on Currently working on a gangster biography which hopefully will be out in Fall 2006
