In 1992, Maus got his first gig in comics pencilling for Eclipse Comics, thanks to his good friend, Bob Hanon. The writer of those particular books (Don Chin) started a publishing company of his own, later on, where Maus went on to draw dozens of books over the next few years, under the imprint of Parody Press. Comedy was always something that Maus enjoyed but an opportunity came along that was his first love and that was science fiction and adventure art. The owners of Zen: Intergalactic Ninja were seeking out a new publisher, so Maus co-founded Entity Comics and began publishing Zen and subsequently his own creator owned titles such as Nira-X: Cyberangel and The SKUNK. Maus also pencilled a couple issues of Stargate for Entity as well as many other titles during its’ peak. Bill has been drawing ever since, on a variety of small press books and projects that include original stories, toy designs, calendars and pin-ups.
More recent works can be found from short stories from Argo 5 Comics, pencilling Sniper and Rook #11 for Beta3 Comics, new installment of Chuck the Rabid Dog for Heavy Metal magazine and a pin-up in the official Voltron Art Book from Moonstone plus cover art and short stories for Zombies vs Cheerleaders. You can also find new Maus art in sketch card sets from various companies as well as new comics from Zenoscope.
