Bio: CAROL KALISH was a Radcliffe graduate who worked as an editor and writer for GALILEO magazine before coming into the comics industry as a writer and editor for New Media along with her longtime boyfriend RICHARD HOWELL. Their work is a highlight of early issues of COMICS FEATURE magazine. In 1981 Kalish joined Marvel Comics as Vice President of New Product Development where she oversaw direct sales to comics shops. She is also credited with having discovered PETER DAVID and ALEX ROSS. Kalish tragically died of a heart attack at the young age of 36.
