2012-10-17 02:36:10 mikebo Bio Wayne Vansant was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1949. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, and graduated from the Atlanta College of Art in 1975. His first comic works appeared in Marvel's Savage Tales, and was the principle artist for The 'Nam for more than fifty issues. He wrote and illustrated Days of Darkness for Apple Comics, telling the story of the early days of the war in the Pacific. The six issues were later published as a graphic novel. As well as doing work for Eclipse, Dark Horse, Byron Priess and Caliber, he created a series of non-fiction, military history comics called the Heritage Collection, which covered the Civil War and World War II. He lives in Powder Springs, Georgia.
