Bio

In 1989 Charlie saw Tim Burton's Batman movie and it would spark a love affair with comics which has been going on strong for over 15 years.
After high school, Carlos wanted to draw comics for a living and almost attended The Joe Kubert School for Cartooning and Graphic Design. But life got in the way and he got a job instead.
A few years later he would discover independent comics like, Strangers In Paradise by Terry Moore, Optic Nerve by Adrian Tomine and Artbabe by Jessica Abel. Inspired by these books and their creators, Carlos created his own comic, Society's Myth.
The first issue was self published in 1999. The book was an autobiographical romantic comedy which was a breath of fresh air to the local comic-book readers in Puerto Rico.
Recently he's changed the name of his book to A Self Portrait Comic and will be re-printing re-worked versions of the original stories from Society's Myth with new issues coming soon. He's currently pencilling Heroes Rebored for his writer friend, David Arroyo. He's also working on his Associates Degree in Graphic Design.
Carlos lives in Tampa, FL with his girlfriend, Maité and their love bird, Birdie.
