Re: Cover terminology

Sometimes the "1:150: and "Retailer Incentive Cover" may mean the same thing. I do alot of Aspen, and get the variants and the covers (typically Cover C" are Retailer Incentives. This also happens on what I call "Expo Covers", covers done for places like WizardCon and s...

Re: What have you updated lately?

Get credit for adding issues or titles? I've personally added quite a bit, I just haven't listed them here. Should I start doing this?

Re: how do you use this site

You know you can add entire batches at a time if you have entire runs, right? Like if you were cataloging Uncanny X-Men 150 and up and can 100 issues at a time by clicking at the bottom of the list "Add a batch of issues from this title to your collection" and type in the box 150-250. It'l...

Re: What happened to Valiant Comics?

Valiant's got a bunch of titles running right now....X-O and Rai are doing well. Archer and Armstrong's coming back, though I haven't heard much from Q&W. I've always liked Q&W, and the old Shadowman.

Re: Comics now

You're right prime....alot of his work these days seem to be splash-oriented...4 bucks for 23 pictures with little "meat" in the story is making less sense to me

Re: Trying to remember issue # of a Wolverine / X-Men Comic

Yes, both were "Wolverine" volume 1 titles, before issue 60 if I remember correctly. The missing hand person was Matsuo, and the "Psylocke" limited series finishes this little tale on the missing hand of his. The other with Sauron was also pre-issue 60. I'll take a look through m...

Re: Marvel NOW!

Another Marvel attempt at "revamping" the "revamp". I'm getting so tired of Marvel's attempts at renumbering, or reheading their titles, and sadly, they're not getting any better. IMHO, I think Axel's to blame for a lot of it. All the good writer's are gone, there's ZERO continui...

Re: If you wrote a comic book... what would it be?

One thing I would have is time-travel. Marvel's been overdosed on that. A parallel universe theory would be good, where events of a superhero's actions would reflect on a different world (let's call it World A), allowing for unexplained circumstances on another world (World B). Hero's on World B wou...

Marvel NOW! revamp

Is anyone else getting tired of Marvel's revamp/revisit/reboot stuff? Every time I turn around they're destroying what little continuity (if any!) they have when they renumber/revamp issues. I understand they're trying to get new readers, but it's so much easier to lose readers than it is to gain ne...

Re: Avengers vs X-Men no. 1

Wolvie's always been an Avenger, at least for a good while. Magento's "worked" with the X-men, even running the school back in the old "New Mutants" era. Though the Namor thing's intrigue me, how he got in there I still can't figure out.

Re: What do you 'do' with your collection?

I buy them to read 'em...end of story. I know it sounds lame, but pulling that book out of the bag and enjoying the artwork, knowing the "spoiler" ending because I've read them dozens of times already, that's the life. Knowing that someone took the paint of writing the story, and someone ha...
