Re: I'm Creating a Reading Order for the Wildstorm Universe

Great list! Have you thought about adding the Wildstorm Spotlight issue on Majestic at the very end? It's the one by Alan Moore and is basically about the very end of the universe, so it may make a good capper.

Re: Marvel NOW! revamp

I get where you're coming from and to be honest, I see both sides. I definitely agree with you that, in the end, it's the creatives who sell the comics, not the increasingly desperate attempts to flood the marketplace with #1 issues. It's the law of diminishing returns and if you start a series over...

Re: What have you updated lately?

I just uploaded the newest issue of Comics Revue. Good grief, those are a pain! There are 17 stories in there, all collections of serialized comic strips. I have the previous two issues, but this is the first one I've entered completely. I'll get around to the other two eventually.

Creator credits: "Also credited as" vs. "alias"

I just ran across a creator in the database named Jim Stenstrum, who used to write a lot of stuff in Eerie back in the day. He has two "Also Credit As" credits: "James Stentstrum" and "Alabaster Redzone." Basically there are three separate entries for this one individua...

Re: What have you updated lately?

I went in and added all of the issues for the classic 1970s Power Records series of Book and Record 45s. There were a couple in there already, but now we've got the whole series. And once again, mikebo quickly swooped in to provide much needed cover images and lots of creator details. Who is that ma...

Hundred Penny Press: Kill Shakespeare

Alright folks, I just picked up the Hundred Penny Press version of IDW's Kill Shakespeare #1. Hundred Penny Press is the imprint they've been using for dollar reprints of some of their first issues. Here's my question, do I create a new title, since the indicia lists the title as HUNDRED PENNY PRESS...

Re: What have you updated lately?

Thanks for adding the Tarzan Sundays, jwfreebird. I recall looking through them in the bookstore when they were first published. I remember there was a softcover series being published at/around the same time, but the contents didn't match the hardcovers exactly. It was rather confusing. That's int...

Re: What have you updated lately?

I finished entering all of the volumes of NBM's Tarzan Sunday comic strip reprints. And I see that Mikebo jumped in with some valuable cover contributions and corrections to the volume numbers. Thanks man!

Chick-fil-a comics

Okay, I know this is probably a bid for least interesting post ever, but I'm posting it anyway. So my 5 year old has recently brought home some comics from her Chick-fil-a kids meals and I'm entering them in the database. Each of the five issues look like one-shots featuring different characters, bu...

Re: My first addition: The Graphic Bible

This website is for comic books, not religious propaganda. Christian publishers pump out cartoon pamphlets and graphic novels all the time, but that does not mean that they are worthy of being listed here among traditional media. I am going to receive a lot of flack from database collectors who wis...
