cover of Finder 38 (Re: Mature content

Postby EarthFurst » Mon Jul 22, 2013 5:14 am

Does the cover of Finder (1996) - #38 contain Mature Content?

Whole bunch of other issues of Finder were flagged "entry contains mature content", but saw no mature content on the webpages so removed mature flag from those issues.

IMO no, not even for Prudishmerican standards. A couple of years ago people though they had to apply the "mature content" option for mature stuff IN the comic itself and didn't get/know that it referred only to the cover.

When I'm browsing comics and I come across a cover that is mature it will ask me to log in to view the cover art. However after I log in I get taken back to the main page instead of the book I was looking at. Does this happen to anyone else?

Happens to me. I think everyone gets sent to the main page right after they login with their password.

Boobage - #1 mature field set to "This entry contains mature content".

Does that cover and/or webpage warrant the "mature content" flag??

Cover seems to be near the top of http://eatyourlipstick.com/boobage/ .

I wouldn't say so. Definitely more tame than what you would see from a typical Zenoscope title.

Yeah I've noticed it happens regardless of what you're looking at. After you log in you always go back to the main page.

I'm still hoping the Mature Content field will be changed
from "This entry contains mature content"
to "This webpage contains mature content" or "This cover contains mature content".

Because I think the ambiguous wording continues to result in more incorrect flagging of issues.

(Example: Both issues of God Hates Astronauts (2013) were flagged-mature, but there is no mature content on the webpages and no covers have been uploaded.)

Really. Had to sign up because Lucifer tpb 3 and 4 were marked as mature when the covers aren't. They are now fixed.

Another thing is I don't think you should have to sign up even if the covers are mature. The site should just have a normal age check for those pages.

Chris wrote:There is now a new aspect to the issues with mature content. The first time you try to view an issue with mature content, it will require you to specify your birthdate and that you be over 18 years old. Once you do that, it will be stored on file so that you don't have to do it again. If you run into any problems with the functionality, let me know.

Seems legit!

Hellblazer TPB Re: Mature content

Postby EarthFurst » Sat Oct 07, 2017 10:14 am

This TPB of Hellblazer http://www.comicbookdb.com/issue.php?ID=48111
has been given "this entry contains mature content".

Do you think it should continue to be mature flagged? (I don't ... except maybe that floating head near bottom right corner)
