user page error

Postby EarthFurst » Sat May 16, 2009 7:55 pm

A few minute ago, I logged into the database and clicked on "My ComicBookDB" link to look at my userpage and got error:
"Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Unable to save result set in /home/comicboo/public_html/user.php on line 32
Query failed: SELECT * FROM Rating_Issue WHERE ri_userID = 4096"

All these query failures were from a corrupt table. I have since repaired all tables and things are finally back to normal (had to shutdown mysql for a bit).

I've been getting the following message every now and then when I click on "My Collection":

Query failed: SELECT title_ID, title_name, title_beginyear, title_sortname, issue_formatID, collection_qty FROM Title, Issue, Collection, User WHERE title_ID = issue_titleID AND issue_ID = collection_issueID AND collection_userID = user_ID AND user_ID = 3260 ORDER BY title_sortname, title_beginyear

It started happening about 10 minutes ago.

I am not sure if this is releated by I tried cloning a creater list, but nothing ever happens and everything seems lock up.

There was another poster mentioning in another thread about problems with adding a new variant cover as well.

On testing your problem, the same thing happened to me.

I think it is something to do with the advertising company Value Click Media. When the problem happened to me, comicbookdb.com jst locked, like you said.

Maybe Value Click Media's server is having issues?!

I tried to look at the source code for the page, but all my comicbookdb.com tabs froze on me :? . As i just said, though, it's probably to do with Value Click Media.

Too many connections

Postby EarthFurst » Fri May 29, 2009 11:21 pm

Got some comicbookdb work done this morning,
but about an hour or two ago started being unable to connect to the comicbookdb database.
"Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /home/comicboo/include/config.php on line 52
Could not connect"
Still trying to learn the ways of the ComicBookDB. http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/List_of_upcoming_comics

We're going to be taking the database down for some tweaking for what should be no more than a half hour or so.

Yeah, I'm aware of the new issues, I'm going to be hopefully doing some maintenance this weekend to tighten up some of the code.

Hello,

I've been working at getting my collection entered and was working successfully for a couple of days and even as early as this morning but now when I go to www.comicbookdb.com all I see is this;

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /home/comicboo/include/config.php on line 51
Could not connect

Any idea what this means?

I get the same thing with both Safari and Firefox.

Many Thanks

G.

It means that the database has gotten blocked up and the offending query needs to be cleared up. I've taken care of it so it should be ok.

Whenever anyone sees this, the quickest way to get it resolved is to e-mail me.
