Marvel Limited (Marvel) Search for 'Marvel Limited' on eBay Website: Click here for a history of this imprint's logos Notes: The Marvel Limited series was a dealer incentive program that produced "high-quality"** hardbound books with print runs specifically based on the number of dealers who met the monthly quota requirements, and then chose to purchase the book. The limited editions did not have a cover price, and it was up to the dealer to decide how much to charge for them. The program ran during the mid 1990s and there are only a handful of books that were issued during its course. Some titles were later re-released in mass-market editions. **The books were marketed as "high quality", but in reality were of pretty poor standard, even for the era of their release. Poorly glued bindings, with pages ready to fall out, gutter loss of artwork, bad reproduction, etc. Similar books which were not a part of the program, but are sometimes listed with the Marvel Limited titles include:
